Jim married his high school sweetheart in 1966 and has three daughters, four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Although his education is in engineering and marketing, Jim has been training dogs for more than 55 years. His successful techniques which do not include any of the traditional force training methods have allowed him to be successful with every dog trained to do what God had created them to do. By taking in dogs that had been washed out of training programs or not performing their tasks in and out of the field, Jim built a well known reputation for rehabbing and retraining these dogs to be good versatile hunting companions and family pets. For those that came directly to him for training, the process was quicker and produced a great performing retriever.

The gift of being able to quickly read and analyze a dogs personality is truly God given and Blessed in order for Jim to assist others enjoy the experience of having a complete companion hunting retriever.
